The SpinPrep™ Plasmid Kit is designed to
purify up to 20 µg plasmid DNA from
1 to 3 ml bacterial cultures using small
spin columns with silica membranes.
Following alkaline lysis, the cleared lysate is applied to a spin cartridge and the plasmid DNA is adsorbed to the membrane in the presence of chaotropic salt. After a brief wash, the plasmid DNA is eluted in a small volume of low-salt buffer.
