The pTandem™-1 mammalian dual expression vector is designed for coexpression of two genes in mammalian cells from a bicistronic RNA. This vector contains separate multiple cloning sites located on both sides of an internal ribosome binding site (IRES). These features provide for convenient insertion of two open reading frames and efficient translation of both encoded proteins from a single bicistronic mRNA.
