Universal Reagents
Several steps and different reagents are necessary to transfer a specimen in its original condition to the glass slide under the microscope. Merck offers high-quality fixing reagents, histological and cytological reagents, embedding and mounting media, dyes, staining solutions, and staining kits. All reagents are CE-registered and have high batch-to-batch stability. They are not only safe to use, but also generate ideally reproducible results. Furthermore, Merck has developed Neo-Clear®. This can be used in exactly the same way as aromatic solvents, but is much more user-friendly and environmentally sound.
