Detects the dually phosphorylated forms of JNK1 and JNK2 at Thr183 and Tyr185 in human samples. This activation occurs via a variety of signals including growth factors, inflammatory cytokines, and environmental stress.

Data
|
The analytical sensitivity of this assay is less than 0.8 units/ml of human phospho-JNK1/2 (Thr183/Tyr185). This was determined by adding two standard deviations to the mean Abs obtained when the zero standard was assayed 30 times. The sensitivity of this ELISA as compared to immunoblotting using known quantities of phospho-JNK1/2 (Thr183/Tyr185), (figure 1), shows that the ELISA is ~2X more sensitive than that of immunoblotting. The bands shown in the Western blot were developed using Anti-SAPK/JNK, Phospho-Specific (Thr183, Tyr185) Human (Rabbit), Cat. No. 559309, and an alkaline phosphatase conjugated anti-rabbit IgG followed by chemiluminescent substrate and autoradiography.
