The LIC Duet™ GST•Tag™ Ek Adaptor encodes a T7 promoter, lac operator, ribosome binding site (rbs), ATG translation initation codon and an N-terminal GST•Tag coding sequence. The GST•Tag sequence has been reported to enhance the production and in some cases the solubility of its fusion partners. The GST•Tag is a multi-purpose tag that can be used for purification, quantification, and detection of fusion protein with the following Novagen products respectively: GST•Bind™ Resin, GST•Tag Assay Kit, and the GST•Tag Monoclonal Antibody.
The various pET Ek/LIC Vectors are shown below. Configurations of the pCDF-2 and pRSF-2 Ek/LIC Vectors, which are designed for coexpression, are also shown.
