The First Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit is designed for the preparation of high quality first strand cDNA from cellular RNA templates. The kit contains MMLV Reverse Transcriptase for superior yields of full-length cDNA. Both oligo(dT) and random hexamer primers are included for a choice of general priming strategies and as alternatives to user-supplied specific primers. A small volume (1-2 µl) of the first strand cDNA reaction can be used in PCR amplification with
KOD Hot Start or
KOD XL DNA Polymerase. Use this kit in conjunction with the
Straight A’s™ mRNA Isolation System and appropriate PCR reagents to amplify rare coding regions.
