An 18-meric phosphorothioate oligonucleotide with sequence antisense to the first 6 codons of the open reading frame of bcl-2 mRNA. Decreases both Bcl-2 protein expression levels and cell viability. Induces apoptosis, in vitro and in vivo, in lymphoma and leukemia cells.
