An internally quenched fluorogenic peptide substrate for assaying activities of three disintegrin metalloproteinase (ADAM) family members, ADAM8, ADAM15, and ADAM28 (MDC-L), which are involved in adhesion and immunological responses. Cleavage occurs between Phe~Phe residues and results in fluorescence enhancement. Does not recognize ADAM17 (TACE).
