Detects and quantifies the level of PRAS40 (Proline-Rich AKT Substrate of 40 kDa) protein that is phosphorylated at Thr246 in mouse, human, and rat samples. PRAS40 is a 14-3-3 binding protein that is a direct substrate of Akt. It is believed to influence protein interactions, nuclear transport, and enzyme activities.

Data
|
The sensitivity of this ELISA was compared to immunoblotting using known quantities of PRAS40 (pThr246). The data presented in Figure 1 show that the sensitivity of the ELISA is ~2x greater than that of immunoblotting. The bands shown in the immunoblot data were developed using rabbit anti-PRAS40 (pThr246) and an alkaline phosphatase conjugated anti-rabbit IgG followed by chemiluminescent substrate and autoradiography detection.
