MagPrep^® P-25 Protein A Beads are encapsulated magnetic particles covalently coated with recombinant Staphylococcus protein A (42kDa). The beads are monodispersed with an average diameter of 25 nm. The small bead size ensures that the beads remain in suspension for long periods. This colloidal property is particularly useful for high-throughput applications. The high magnetite content contributes to the rapid clearing rate when the beads are placed in a magnetic field. The MagPrep^® P-25 Protein A Beads are optimized for manual or automated capture of immunoglobulins (Igs) from a variety of sample types including serum, tissue culture media, and other aqueous solutions. Captured Igs may be analyzed directly or used for the immunoprecipitation of antigens.
