Recombinant, human Rac1 fused to GST and expressed in E. coli. A small GTPase that belongs to the Ras superfamily and regulates lamellipodia formation in response to growth factor stimulation, as well as activation of NADPH-oxidase in phagocytic lymphocytes and the JNK-MAP kinase cascade. Useful as a positive control in Western blotting and as an affinity precipitation reagent using immobilized glutathione resin.
