The use of pigments in plastics is regulated by the Plastics Directive and the Packaging Regulation.

There are strict requirements for plastic manufacturers

The European Directive 2002/72/EC regulates the use of materials, monomers, additives and additives for plastic materials that come into contact with foodstuffs. The directive must be observed by the end manufacturer of the plastic material (plastics manufacturer).
