Color Forecast spring.summer 2010
The Spring/Summer 2010 season continues to revisit the global fashion heritage. Whisper and Vestiges pay tribute to the classics. Wild Deluxe and Show Girls both seek to tap into new sources of energy and creativity.

The following four main chapters are foreseen for Spring/Summer 2010:
In Whisper minimalism takes a sensual and poetic turn. It responds to an aspiration to calm down, to eliminate unnecessary details. The very sophisticated style reflects a calm and composed temper.
Make-up introduces new functions and tools, while adding a touch of soft glamour and color to the understated nude look.
The color palette is made of mock whites and cool pearly shades (with mauvish or pinkish undertones) that underline luxury but that are also easy to mix and match.
Wild Deluxe questions society’s obsession with security and safety by promoting a survival spirit for the city.
Cosmetics are made to evoke a natural and sophisticated look. The complexion is tanned, the cheeks glowing, the hair sandy or with the glossy wet look of just coming out of the water.
The color palette focuses on sun-baked and earthy tones (walnut, ocher, bronze, yellow) well as burnt or charred shades (brown, ebony, wine red, khaki, orange). The intense color mood is heightened with copper, brass and gold.
Vestiges introduces a new global fashion attitude based both on antiquity and universal basics. Make-up styles play with iconic Mediterranean looks.
A very polished style is evident in elaborate hair and bold make-up. Eyes are heavily made-up, in kohl and eyeliner, and offset understated cheeks and lips. The result is a universal, yet totally singular and modern beauty.
The color palette centers on blues, from the lightest to the darkest: indigo, lapis lazuli, ink, but also jade. A series of subtle sand, stone and ivory neutrals tempers the harmonies, while gold adds a precious antique edge.
For Show Girls, nightlife in all of its expressions (cabaret, circus, clubbing) is the common denominator. Multicolored harmonies are made to stand out. The world of show business inspires make-up styles that create a youthful, slightly overdone look.
Make-up here is made to be seen. The boldest will adopt stage-ready looks using intense colors and effects. A softer attitude is shown with pretty pastels that are blackened and smudged.
The multicolored palette moves around dark colored tones: eggplant, petrol and sapphire blue in several tones, combined with bright jewel tones of red, mustard, fuchsia and turquoise.
