Cell-permeable. One of the major metabolites of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug Diclofenac (Cat. No. 287840). Regioselectively formed through oxidation of diclofenac by cytochrome P450 2C9. Suppresses prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) formation by specifically blocking COX-2 activity (IC50 = 16.9 nM).
